Verble

West Virginia born, California raised since the age of four, Verble Justin Spears grew up in a single parent home, son of a teacher where music, sports and art kept him away from drugs and gangs. His is the story of growing up in a small town an hour outside of LA where lifestyles are less fast lane living & more the communities and suburbs of the Inland Empire.

Justin Spears began creating his own raps in the 1980’s inspired by what he heard on the radio. By the time he reached high school he began actualizing his passion and practice as a rapper. His performances started as small shows for friends that lead to countless talent shows and playing backyard parties across the county. This fueled his growth into bar and club shows, tours and the stage personality we now know as Verble.

A self taught artist, Verble's music reflects the purer essence of what he saw in rap as a youngster. It is of simpler times – rap music for what it is, not dolled up and covered in fake foil glam. Verble is a force to be heard with strong heart felt lyrics, a compassion and understanding for where the music is going and a sense of pride for where it came from.

In 2005 Verble helped co found Grimm Image Records. Which is
home to such artist as 2mex from the Visionaries, Exsitereo from the Shape Shifters, Xololanxinxo from of Mexican decent and bleubird from Les Swashbuckling Napoleons.

His experience as a rapper has lead him to tours across North American with, kthei???, the chicharones,nabahe, matre, factor, Kirby dominate and ceschi. He has shared the stage with acts such as the Shape Shifters, Living Legends, Visionaries, Camp lo, Lyrics born, Sleep of Old Dominion, Epic, Sole of Anticon, Fake Four records, Atmosphere, and many other indie hip hop legends.

Verble is currently working on an album with k-the-i??? and an EP with 2mex expected summer 2011.
